Bookkeeping & Payroll Services for Small Businesses
It is essential that bookkeeping is performed accurately and regularly, as this important information allows business owners to make sound financial decisions. I use QuickBooks Online as my accounting platform of choice as it is the clear industry leader and is robust enough to handle the needs of virtually any small business. QuickBooks Online provides the flexibility for each business to set up in a way that works for them, and also integrates with many other apps that a business may already be using. This makes things more efficient and accurate, which saves time and money.
I consider bookkeeping services to be a partnership with business owners. Engaging the services of a bookkeeper to manage the tasks needed to keep the business's financials current and accurate frees up valuable time for the business owner to focus on the business itself.
Bookkeeping
I offer monthly bookkeeping service for small businesses who would like to outsource this portion of their business management, especially to allow the business owner to focus time and energy on running and growing the business.
Monthly bookkeeping service generally includes the following tasks:
- Properly classifying all bank and credit card transactions
- Bank and credit card reconciliation
- Financial reporting
- Fixed asset management
- 1099 filings
The following tasks can also be added to the general tasks listed above:
- Accounts receivable
- Accounts payable
- Sales tax accounting and filing
Payroll
Payroll service is available as an add-on service for businesses that would like to add this to monthly bookkeeping service.
Many payroll services integrate with QuickBooks Online or provide reporting that allows the data to be easily entered into the books.
(I do not offer payroll as a stand-alone service.)
Catch-up & Clean-up
Catch-up service is available if the books are not up to date.
Clean-up service is available when review and fixes are needed to be sure the books are accurate and up to date.

Fees for my bookkeeping services are not one size fits all. The needs of each business are as unique as the business itself.
